Hussein Mohammed Halawa (arabisch Ψ­Ψ³ΩŠΩ† Ω…Ψ­Ω…Ψ― Ψ­Ω„Ψ§ΩˆΨ©, DMG αΈ€usain MuαΈ₯ammad αΈ€alāwa; geboren 1956 in Kairo) ist ein islamischer Theologe Γ€gyptischer Herkunft und eine PersΓΆnlichkeit des Islam in Europa. Er ist Imam am Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland (ICCI) und der derzeitige GeneralsekretΓ€rcite-ref-1[1] des European Council for Fatwa and Research (ECFR), des β€žEuropΓ€ischen Rates fΓΌr Fatwa und Forschungβ€œ, einer Organisation islamischer Gelehrter, die der Muslimbruderschaft zugerechnet wird. Halawa studierte an der al-Azhar-UniversitΓ€t in der Γ€gyptischen Hauptstadt Kairo und an der Internationalen Islamischen UniversitΓ€t in Islamabad, Pakistan. Er ist ebenfalls Vorsitzender des Irischen Rats der Imame (Abk. ICI; Irish Council of Imams).
